ABOUT US

Here is a little bit about us.
We are a motley lot, but we love each other like we were siblings from birth.
My best friend and I, and our husbands, are sharing a house, so we have quite a group of felines in the house. 15 total.

Sarah's Brood...all 10 of them.

Bubbles and Tiny - Brothers by birth

Found at a soap making convention. Thier momma had died of malnutrition and left them all alone. Luckily Sarah foudn them, and took them home with her, and the rest is, as they say, history. They are now 2 years old, and chubby babies. :-)

Tiny, is a momma's boy. He suckles on our necks, like he is trying to get milk out of us. Drools like a frieght-train, and invariably, we end up taking showers once he is done. lol

Bubbles, got his name because he likes to play with the bubbles while anyone is taking a bubble bath! Sarah said he used to have a problem with doing this buy falling into the bathtub full of water and bubbles, when he was a baby.

Madeline (Maddie) and Katta - Sister and Brother by birth

Sarah had a military friend that was heading over seas, and he asked her to take care of his cats. She took them in, and they have been happy here ever since. They are 4 years old, we think. Maybe 5. Big cats, at least 12 pounds. Sweetest babies.

Katta, well he is the biggest lap cat I have ever seen....for a male anyway.

Maddie, she didnt like me at first, hissed and growled, and swatted, anytime I got within 2 feet of her...lol Now she wants to be in my face every chance she gets. :-) (she still doesnt like my husband)

Pixy

Pixy, for the first couple years of her life, lived on a truck, with Sarah's husband. SHe was his kitty, and she was extremely happy living with her daddy on the truck, driving across the country, seeing the sights. But, she got pregnant one day while they were on a home-time, and that was the end of her gallivanting around the country. :-) Pixy is about 5 years old. She is the cutest thing. LOVES to get brushed...both forwards and backwards.....A vain little girl if ever I saw one.

Midnight (Midi) and Misty Lou - Sisters by birth (Pixy's kittens)

Midnight, she is rather stand-off-ish. She does like to be petted, but only when she wants to be. She'll come up to you and pat you with her paw, till you pet her. Midi will not "talk" to you while she is doing this either, she'll walk up and start patting. lol

Misty Lou, talks to you, even when you dont want to be talked to. lol She is rather loud too. I can hear her when she is in the living room and I am out on the back porch. Misty Lou is also a four footed garbage disposal. Will eat ANYTHING you put in front of her, drop on the floor, or whatever. She's a sweetie though.

Kit (aka KitKat)

Kit was Sarahs first rescue. All I really know about the first part of her life is that she was a very sick kitten and almost didnt make it a couple times, before her immune system finally caught up to her age and started working. It's such a good thing she survived too! She is the sweetest little girl! I'm fairly certain that she is at least partially an empath. She always know when one of us isnt feeling well, depressed or whatever, and always come to keep us company. I personally think she is a healer too, to an extent. When I have a stomache, she'll come to sit near me, and within an hour, my stomache is gone, even when I dont take any aspirin or pain killers.

SnowFlake (currently known as DUMDUM)

SnowFlake...well let's see, I could tell you all about this cat, but I dont want you thinking I dont like him or anything. LOL He CAN be the sweetest little boy. He can also be the STUPIDEST cat ever born. He is a Flame Point Siamese. Cream and Apricot coloring. Gorgeous long hair. Beautiful Blue Eyes. He was dropped off at the house here on Thanksgiving Day 2 years ago. He was only about 6 months old then. We are currently trying to find him a new home, as he has major issues with the other boys in the house, and had recntly started spraying in the house, which means he has been mostly outside for the last 2 weeks.

Cleopatra (Cleo for short)

Cleopatra was dropped off on the doorstep about a year ago. We are figuring she is about 1 1/2 years old. She is the cutest little thing. Tiny build. She still looks like she is about 6 months old. She gets spayed in April. lol She's a yowler. She likes to be held. So much so that when you try to put her down, she crawls her little but up and over your shoulder an onto your back. lol

Alice's Brood.... 5 in total.

Randee Lynn

Randee is my Germany baby. She is 8 years old. I got her from a good friend while my husband and I were stationed in Germany. She is Black and White tuxedo, short hair. She is a stand-off-ish kitty, but as most cats, does like to have loving when SHE wants to. Randee has diabetes. So she ends up getting colds quite often each year. Luckily, they dont last long, and arent horribly nasty. She is scared to death of thunder storms. She'll run and hide under my bed covers every storm that comes through. We like to say that she is the *itch of the family. She is definitely the Alpha of the group. Will kick any kitty's butt that gets in her way. lol

Squeak (Squeaky)
Squeak is my spaz. Seriously. She is a spaz! She is 5 years old. Very headstrong. She is solid black, with amber eyes. She's a sweet girl, but she can be very annoying too. lol And The Kitty 500 races begin around 1am every night. lol I'm not sure is all there in the brain department, but I love her just the same.

Jessica (Jessie)
Jessie is our sweet baby. She is 3 years old. She is the epitome of a perfect kitty. Even when she was a baby, she never did anything wrong. Seriously. She doesnt like to be held, but she does love everything else a kitty loves. She has one special fake mouse she loves. It is a hot pink mouse. She eats with it, sleeps with it, and even brings it into the litter box with her. Never goes anywhere without it. :-)

Samantha (Sammie)
Sammie..oh Sam is MY baby. Literally. She follows me everywhere. Like right now as I am typing this, she is on my lap, purring her little tail off. lol My husband and I went to the open air flea market one weekend, and the first booth we went to she was there. She is the ONLY cat I have ever paid money for. lol The best $15 I've ever spent. :-)

Zoey (Zo-Zo)
Zoey...oh goodness. She is a little demon on four legs! :-) We love her dearly though. She does everything she is not supposed to do, just to get attention. Crazy little calico. She is almost 2 years old, but looks like she is about 4 months old. Very small for her age.

And that is our feline household. Go to the photos page to actually see their pictures! :-)
